why?
Kaylen, I am so glad that I signed you up for swim lessons again after a 3 month break so you could be a total brat the entire time. Now I have 3 and a half more weeks of torture. Love you.
Oh it couldn't last for long
Ok, so I've been carrying around my camera but have left the SD card in my computer. I think I will name the project something like: Project hope to get half of the year recorded in pictures. That sounds a little more realistic. Here's some throw back to last summer because I wish is was summer right now. Well shoot, I wish it was summer every day.

project 365: day 7
Pile O' Shoes that sits by the front door. All the time. There is a basket that they go in but they are always in a pile on the floor. This is the only thing I could think of to take a picture of after working a 12 hour shift.

365 project: day 5
Ok, I've already stuck with the 365 project about 3 days longer than I thought I would. Only 360 more to go! We had "family night" at preschool tonight. Adam and my mom came and I think they were glad that they aren't the one's taking her on a weekly basis. She is deciding in this photo if she is going to eat the play dough. I will leave it up to your imagination if she did or not. It was blue with glitter in it....yummm.

365 project: day 2
I came home after working 12 hours to my husband barfing into an IKEA bin I had planned on returning. I think we should probably keep it and make it the official puke bucket. He's the last of us to get the flu or whatever it is (we got flu shots) and he's the hardest hit. Poor baby.

Blah.
Kaylen said her first phrases this week. They include "more milk", "hi mommy", "hi daddy" and are you ready for this one....."I KNOOOOOOW!". Shocking huh? Who would expect that to come out of her mouth. She's not bossy or anything. I won't tell you the phrase where she copied what I said in the Walmart parking lot. We will say I learned a lesson. OK, since you are dieing to know, she said "douche bag" but it was more like "dooo bag" so if she repeated it in public sometime nobody would know. I have little patience in parking lots. Especially ones full of clueless people. I'm sure that's what people say when they see me driving my minivan with my one kid. I bet they don't know that it can haul 4'x8' sheets of plywood inside.
I really dislike this time of year. There is nothing to look forward to for months but gross, cold, rainy, wet weather. Some may say "but what about Valentines day?". I say Valentines day is for 2nd graders who construct mailboxes out of cardboard and make their parents fill out 28 tear on the dotted line pre-printed cards with Big Bird and hearts all over them. OK maybe by 2nd grade Sesame Street is no longer cool but you get what I'm saying.
I let Kaylen watch TV now. Because of the weather. Not all the time but a little bit. I can't find enough things to keep her occupied and I can't spend my life driving her to indoor mall play areas. Who would do the laundry and stuff? She likes Yo Gabba Gabba, which by preschool age TV show standards is fairly tolerable. I kinda like looking at the guy with the afro and tight orange suit do the daily "dancy dance" and they have cool guest stars like Jack Black. That way when she sees Nacho Libre one day she will say hey, I know that guy! He was on Yo Gabba Gabba! I should sign us back up for swim lessons. It's just a lot of work for 30 minutes of swimming. When I say 30 minutes I mean 15 minutes of happy swimming and 15 minutes of unhappy swimming. I will do it though if it makes winter go by faster. By the way, summer of 2011, please don't wait till July to show up. I think I might die.
The following is the result of Kaylen picking out her own outfit and better yet I think she walked around the house modeling it for about an hour. I told her there isn't a modeling agency out there that will sign her with a pacifier in her mouth. She said "I KNOOOOOW!"
